The relation between Blowfish, RC5 and Cast5

 

Blowfish, RC5 and Cast5 are all cryptographic algorithms based on DES (Data Encryption Standard). They are all symmetric block ciphers that use different block sizes and different variable key lengths.

Blowfish has a 64-bit block size and a variable key length of between 32 bits and 448 bits. RC5 uses block sizes of 32 bits, 64 bits or 128 bits and variable key lengths of between 0 and 2040 bits. CAST5 has a block size of 64 bits and variable key lengths of between 40 bits and 128 bits.
